Really weird driver installation prob (Xp)

Thats what i get whenever i try to update a driver from the m$ version to the manufacture's. Any ideas. All automactic services have started if that helps. Cheers. WinXp btw guys.

Which version of XP are you running, Pro or Home?
If Pro, have you set yourself as an administrator?

Do a CTRL-ALT-DEL and see if:

Rundll32.exe is running, if it is kill the process off, and now try to install the drivers.

Hopefully that should work.

Thanks guys, dunno how but after rememberign about this thread and lookin at it, checkin to see if i had admin rights, and then tryin to update the driver again it worked, and i've changed no settins. Weird???- that m$ for ya tho. Cheers again.
