Rayman 2 climbing/orb error

In Rayman 2: The Great Escape, whenever I try to climb on the climbable walls, or in the levels with the orbs you have to place on those triangle things, the game stops and this incessantly irritating error shows up. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

Check your rom with GodoN64 and make sure that it's good.

All right, now what?
It works fine in other emulators but I can't convert their saves to pj64 useable saves.
