PSX 1.13 sound cut

Is there any way to fix this. When I'm playing games on it, the sound gets cut. It only happens in certain areas of the game and some parts of the game, it plays entirely (like during a cutscene). Any way to fix?

Does this happen with all games or just with a particular game?

Quite a few (maybe all, only played like 5 psx games) Here's a few games sound got cut on:
clock tower, silent hill, spiderman 2

cutscenes always seem to work well and no cut on sound.
