Hey guys, have a problem here.
We're on uni-networt, so every room has it's own IP to go online.
We also got subnetmask, standardgateaway and DNS server addresses to add to these IP.
It's allowed to be online for one IP only per room, so I decided to install a proxy server, so that my comrade also can go online on his PC, but with our room IP.
I installed CCProxy, but If I try to search him Ican't find him.
If I search for him on IP, he doesn't show up. Probably it's because he's on Vista Business 64 and I'm on XP64. He can see only two guys of the whole network.
He's in the same network, has a IP, what do I also have to add?
Am I allowed to add all these netmask and gateway stuff without trying to get him online? Or would it mean, that I break the rules and would add another IP to the network?
Please help, I'm a totally network n00b and I think my explanations also suck, so ask me, if any additional informations could help you!
