Project 64 Input Plugins for Skillz Cube GC Controller

I’m looking for a plug-in that will support the Skillz Cube Connection [USB], I want to get the rumble feature to work on my Gamecube controller it works fine in the windows control panel so it's not faulty. I do not need any updates etc, all I need is a plug-in for it to work on Project 64 v 1.5 .

I would very much appreciate any help.

The controller is fine, it’s an Official Nintendo GC Controller connected to the Skills Cube Connection so I can use it on my pc [lik-sang about £15/$20].

I am currently using N-Rage’s Direct-Input 8 V2 1.82a it lets me play about with the rumble setting but it just won’t rumble at all.

The plug-in was not designs for the GC controller I don’t think anyway, It was designed for the N64 controller. I was just hoping that somewhere out there a plug-in was available for it.

Thanks

could be how the USB driver handles it vice how the plugin handles it.

I'm running 2 Xbox controlers that I opened up and soldered USB cables into. Every button work in windows and both rumble motors work. The pressure sensitive buttons even work. Using Nrages 1.8 I could get both to work but could not get the second controler to rumble. Upgrading to 1.82a made all the difference. All 10 buttons, one digital stick, and the 8 way digital pad and rumble works on both controlers. the Xbox controler has 12 buttons so I had to pick and chose, and I could have set either the left or the right stick as the analog stick. I also picked up a 4 port powered hub so that I could add a couple more and have a full set of 4 controlers just for PJ46.

As for Lik-Sang, they also sell a connector for Xbox/USB but my understanding is that they havent exactly written their own driver for it. Unfortunatly it seems from some of the the things that I have read is that they link to the drivers from other web sites that also manufacture converters ( example CodeUnderground who among others has had troubles with Lik-Sang )

Try hunting the net, maybe you can find another driver than the one that Lik-Sang has. Maybe you can luck out, because I know Nrage 1.82a will work.

I am using n-rages 1.82a but for some reason it does not work, the rumble works fine with pc games that have rumble compatibility, but not with PJ64 games don’t know why?

Guess I will keep on trying, if anyone finds out how it work with n-rage 1.82a or find a new plug-in let me know please.

THANKS

n-rage’s plug-in 1.82a is the best around it support both GC stick and pressure buttons but not really needed no n64 game needs them anyway.

Quote: no n64 game needs them anyway

Except for StarFox, and any shooting game where you need to aim.

The Pressure Buttons, you know like on Super Mario Sunshine, Star Wars Rouge Leader etc. those buttons that when you start to press down and it gives you well pressure more and more until it goes all the way down, and when you press the button all the way down its just like a normal button.

Not needed in Star Fox explain please?

Unless you meant the control sticks?

Well, for perfect aiming in starfox. You need pressure for the controller to work optimally. Like in StarFox, of course you aim and stuff, but to be really good, and get high accuraccy, you need a pressure stick (like a control stick) I didn't really want a response, just giving some games that need at least some sort of pressure gauges. I just wanted to point them out. Nothing big.

I'm using a Wingman Rumblepad alongside N-Rage's 1.82a V2 plugin, and it works great. There's rumble too. Note though that my Rumblepad only accepts IFORCE2 (e.g., Force Feedback v.2) signals to do rumble, so that must mean you need:

a) a better controller
b) new drivers
c) a signal converter (e.g., IFORCE2 to IFORCE1), or
d) contact N-Rage for possible fixes (which I highly doubt)

:)
