There is one included in windows XP that does FAT, FAT32 and NTFS partitions. It can format them, remove and add new ones. Also work on new installed HD that has no partitions (there is a wizard to activate the drive). You can also change you drives letters :)

To get it, click on Start -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Managment. Then on the data tree on the left, under Storage, click on Disk Managment and there you go.

ranish partition manager.... and its freeware

ext2f (linux)
NTFS (NT, 2000, XP)
FAT16
FAT32
BEOS
and a few more

It will do almost every kind of partition I can think of, and format it too (quick and with surface scan)
It's not as cool looking as PM but it works. I don't think I'd recommend it for resizing a partition, but it is capable of it.

linkage......

do you just need to make em, or do you need to shuffle things around?

Good call, Knuckles, can't believe I forgot that one. Looks like this, and it's *very* easy to use.

60k doesnt mean it wont work...

If you are going to shuffle partitions around, you might just wanna go for Partition Magic. It sounds like you cant lose the stuff you got on disk, so go for the real stuff.

Can you resize/move partitions in XP's disk manager?

Not without formating I believe. It's pretty affective though, as far as I've used. I've used it a couple times, but it's not the one I currently use.
The program I use currently is called PQMagic. Don't know how commercially available it is though, haven't looked for it (got it as a gift).

No clue. Like I said, I haven't searched for it. Got it from my friend not too long ago, and it seems to work nicely and quickly. All I know is that it's a bootable CD that's got quite a few other programs that I haven't used (or had to) yet. Stick it in, run pqmagic, edit a few things, reboot, hehe.

RPM is tight and meant for a DOS bootable disk... it works, and it works good, not pretty but good. I have to use a keyboard (gasp) insted of a mouse but, I've been using it for years now and haven't had a problem with it.

I just bought PM8. I love it :)

I've used it to setup my laptop to tripple boot msdos, win95 and win98.
