Hello everyone!

I have an speed problem that really pisses me off.

It happens that I start playing a game (any game) and for some time (lets say like 20 minutes) the speed is all right, then the FPS of the game start going down and then the game gets sloooooooow.

I really don't know what to do, I've tried many things about plugins, but I think its not about the graphics or sound or config.

I've already read de User Manual but I wanted to ask before trying risky things...

Could anyone help me... plz???
:cry:

My computers characteristics:
Toshiba Satellite 5205
Microsoft XP Pro
DirectX 9.0b
Display Mode = 1400 x 1050 (32 bit)(60 Hz)

CPU = Pentium 4 Mobile 2.20 GHz
RAM = 512 MB
Graphics = Nvidia GeForce4 460 Go 32MB
Audio = Yamaha AC-XG WDM audio

Since it's a laptop and a Pentium 4, I think it's overheating...
And since Pentium 4 slows down the clock when it overheats i think that's the problem. :beer:

To my knowledge the clock is not slowed, only at a set temperature (accessable through the BIOS) the computer will be automatically shut down (depending if the motherboard supports the function).

To kraderif, when you experience the perfomance hit, you might want to try alt+ctrl+del, click on the performance tab and look under Physical Memory at the 'Available', if there is little available then this may be your problem.

I suggest closing all unnecessary programs while using the emu.
