Praise, encouragement, advice and assistance

I have spent a portion of my waking hours over the past several days exploring Dolphin, testing games of mine and reading through this forum. I want to comment on a few things.

The first is that I want to say the team working on this project has done a top notch job and they deserve our praise and congratulations (as many of the wiser posters have already proclaimed). I am a volunteer head boxing coach and I know too well what it means to make sacrifices and often receive little to no thanks in return. It takes a strong person to be able to make such sacrifices repeatedly. Much thanks to ector, F|RES, schibo, YaZ0r, ChaosCode, CKemu, CoDeX, EFX, Falcon4ever, JinXD, Knuckles, Shadowprince and all the supporters who are intelligent enough to know that complaining doesn't speed up the process and who post useful information that is valuable to the development team.

Secondly, I want to offer advice to anyone who just shows up here to whine about some problem they are having. If you are such a person, you would do well to remember that this team isn't receiving any notable compensation for their efforts. If you can't empathize, then go sign up for any volunteer position you can find where the people you are helping don't seem to care about you or how hard you work to help them. I feel confident that you will have a new respect for what the Dolphin EMU development team (especially those who put in bulk portions of their time) are faced with. In short, don't be so ungrateful. No one OWES you a GCN emulator. In fact, none of us has really done anything to deserve it (besides the team themselves, they've earned it). If you don't care about such a statement then you especially don't deserve to reap the rewards of the team's effort.

Thirdly, I would like to offer what support I can, which for now, is limited to hobby testing. I am currently converting my GC game library. I am also awaiting a recently ordered x64 XP Pro OS disk which will expand my available operating system testing options. In about a week I should be able to begin testing on a system with the following specs (I should note here that I am not prone to bragging and that such is not my intention here):

Quad-boot
Windows XP 32 (DX9)
Windows XP 64 (DX9)
Windows Vista 32 (DX10)
Windows Vista 64 (DX10)
MSI P6N 650i SLI Platinum MB
Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4Ghz Q6600 Kentsfield
EVGA 8800GTX 768MB 384bit
G.Skill 4x2GB DDR2 800 (8GB)
2 x 250GB WD HDD Sata 3.0GB/s

Experimental data should include various controlled setups across the four operating systems including some light CPU overclocking.

The games I will be able to test will include the following:

Battalion Wars USA
F-Zero GX USA
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles USA
Paper Mario TYD USA
Pikmin 2 USA
Resident Evil USA
Star Fox Adventures USA
Star Wars Bounty Hunter USA
Super Mario Sunshine USA
The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker USA
The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess USA
Viewtiful Joe USA

Hopefully, the information that I derive will be in some way helpful to either supporters of the project or the development team but, of course, we shall see when that time comes. Look for my results within the next two weeks.
