hello,

i had never seen a programm where i can allocate a picture and a individually text to the rom, so like little informations. only choose in options the path to project64 and the path to your game-directory. then refresh the list. now you can choose a game in the list and allocate a pic or write a little text or some extra- information, then save it. the information will be saved into the data-directory.

with doppelclick on a game, you start the game with pj64 (alternative: press enter or menu from rightclick)

Here the zip for program and sourcecode (delphi7):
www.files.typusmensch.de

Now, the program needs the BDE form Borland...
Download the english setup: bde511en.exe
Download the german setup: bde511ge.exe
Download the french setup: bde511fr.exe

maybe, to select an indivually picture is possible for pj64 1.7?? =]

Hungry For Answers
Rules Thread - Read This Before Posting!
The following rules apply to everyone. Breaking them can result in a permanent ban, meaning you won't be able to post here again.

DO NOT
Ask for ROMs (commercial games), tell people where to get ROMs, or ask people to contact you outside the forum. This includes discussion relating to back-up units.
Make a feature request, ask when the next version is coming out, ask for a port to any platform, or ask for source code.
Ask how to play a game (visit gamefaqs.com instead).
Discuss hardware, games or other emulators except where specificaly related to Project64 including 3rd party plugins (any that are not by Jabo or Zilmar) - don't ask here, we didn't make them, find their own forums please (some links are below).
Ask why it's slow or looks/sounds bad if you're below minimum spec (see User Manual).
Insult people without reason, advertise anything, or spam.
Post the same thing to more than one forum (someone WILL notice).
This thread is the only place I want to see BLOCK CAPITALS!
Abuse attachments. Only post relevant files.

Excuse me if i'm wrong axcc123 but what rule is TypusM breaking? seems he just released a frontend tool. HOW does that violate forum rules? If you must paste rules can you at least put in bold the one they apparently have broken - preferably post a link to that thread and the specific rule they have broken. Since I see nothing wrong with this I assume the rules pasting is unmerited.

Only thing close is maybe the feature request rule, that picture comment is fairly harmless if you ask me so cool your Jets (seriously everyone seems to be looking for any excuse to pretend to be mod) - the answer to this question TypusM is that we don't know if such a feature will get in 1.7, its certainly possible.

You're just looking for an excuse to try and act like a mod-wannabe, "No Feature Request" rule applies mostly to threads which have the sole purpose of asking for a feature request. For the most part this thread is far more about a front end that the original poster created, appending a tiny bit of text asking maybe isn't exactly going to hurt you or anyone else.

I doubt anyone is going to punish TypusM for that this time, threatening TypusM with a ban is just uncalled for in this case and you do not have the power to do that anyway so go away and pick on someone else who deserves it, k? I really cannot be bothered with people like you who take rules and then go nuts at the mere hint of them being broken.

Lets take a dogmatic view on everything shall we? it's against the rules to act like a mod and you broke that rule axcc123 so I guess you're just as guilty as the person you accuse and so am I. Rules have exceptions.

So instead of continuing to ruin a perfectly good thread why don't we all drop this, k? That is if axcc and others are big enough a person to be able to do that.

axcc123 - you were out of line here. The original poster was offering his work for PJ64 users, and you misinterpreted his post.

Right, derailment over so lets begin talking about the tool, I downloaded this and booted the tool, there was no data in the gui for it to use but due to copyright and such i'm not suprised - thing looks pretty self explanitory.

You should change the default path to PJ64 to C:\Program files\Project64\ because that is where it is most of the time. thanks for reading.

Update to Version 2.1 >_>

Look at the top of the thread.

2.0 => 2.1:
- search n sorting options included

Talbain

Moo.
It may not be a good idea to link it to the regkey, because it may not always be there (unless you're talking about the directory regkey, not an install regkey).

if the program has no directory for roms, it try to search the key:
a) HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\N64 Emulation\Project64 Version 1.6\Rom Directory
b) HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\N64 Emulation\Project64 Version 1.5\Rom Directory
c) HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\N64 Emulation\Project64 Version 1.4\Rom Directory

if it found then the program let you choose if you want to take this as rom directory otherwise you must select manually a directory in settings.

i don't know, but i thought it is a good idea

It's a pretty good idea but will it allow people to change the original picture of the game? 'Cause people might edit it and yeah.....
