Stop talking crap. There's lots of other good plugins out there.
Some are even better for low-end specs and some games than jabo's.

For me, Jabo's has still the best performance (excepting xengine and 1964 ogl, but that will only give you a lot lower graphics quality!). The others are all slower (excepting glide64 if you have a VooDoo card). It think Rice's plugin might pass in the future the speed of Jabo's, but at this moment I generally recommend Jabo's 1.40 and 1.5.

Using some really expensive, illegal specialty equipment.

Basically if you're looking to buy one of those to dump N64 ROMs, it'd be far cheaper and better to just buy a freaking N64.

Its not illegal to program your own roms. For info on how to do this go to www.dextrose.com and start learning about N64 programming.
