Plugins & Crackling Noise

Alright, I need some help... I have been running Project64 on the Jabos Plugin's, but they haven't been working perfectly well with everything... I tried using a number of different plugins, from gln64 to Glide64 Wonder ++, to Rice Video... I haven't found a great difference in any of them...

Also, I keep getting a crackling noise when I play various games... I tried Azimer's Audio Plugin WIP2, but it didn't really completely eliminate it.

Here are my specs:
HP Pavillion MCE
Running On: ATI Radeon X1600 (512 MB)
Has: 250 Gigs HD, 2048 MB RAM
Processor: AMD 64 LIVE!
Windows Vista Compatable?: Yes

Choose the "Configure Audio Plugin..." command from under the Options menu in Project64. If you are using Jabo's DirectSound, enabling the option "Sync Game to Audio" will remove crackling so long as emulation is limited to 60 FPS. If you are using Azimer's HLE, enabling the option "Force Old School Audio Sync" will remove crackling but also, for some games, may slow down gameplay while the audio may sound great.

Remember that synching the game to your audio emulation can screw up compatibility for some games such as TWINE 007 and Ms. Pac-Man: Maze Madness.

Oh, thanks big time man.... I just want to know... What would you reccomend as a video plugin? I really don't wanna keep switching plugins over and over...

Or is there a certain time I should use certain plugins?
