Ok, my sytstem specs are -

Win XP
DX 8.1
AthlonXP 1800+
Geforce 3
Soundblaster Live
256mb RAM

Ive tried 1.4 and the 1.5 beta, they both try and send an error report as soon as I try and open them. Why won't they work?? Ive tried changing the compatibility by right clickin the .exe to no avail...any ideas?

Have you tried disabling background tasks such as Virus checkers, just in case one of those is conflicting with the PJ64 executable? A long shot maybe but worth trying.

You could also go into Eventvwr.msc (accessed quickly via the run option) and checking out the exact error report via there, which will help out with diagnosing your problem.

Also, is XP a clean install? Are the graphics drivers up to date, correct chipset drivers etc? < Rudimentary questions I know, but they've got to be asked, so apologies if they offend you! :)

Hmmm. Weird, I've upgraded from WinMe to WinXP and PJ64 runs very good.
It has caused problems for some. For some it doesn't. You could say it's random. But it's not recommended.

Yes, those who wrote it!
I bet there's something wrong with windows as usual.
Or maybe some interfearing program as said earlier.
