PJ64 prob...

I've been reading the site and I'm getting so confuzzled with all the answers I need but not in one area...

I have a few Qs for the PJ64...

I have both PJ64 1.5 AND 1.5 SP, but Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie are getting errors...

Banjo-Kazooie

Quits and/or freezes when trying to play Bottles Secret Puzzle in Banjo's House; Same for the secret pictures at the end of game (100 jiggies collected)

Slows WAY down when a jiggy/worm/nut... is collected; when he dances (10th jiggy in a level) and when puting the jiggies into the picture to open the world

Freezes unexpectingly (rarely happens though)

Banjo-Tooie

Quits and/or freezes when Mumbo is going back into his hut (Glitter Gulltch Mine)

Freezes unexpectingly (fairly often)

Freezes (not always) when Mumbo uses his magic on the Mumbo pads

Slows WAY down on Puzzle game to open worlds... Freezes and/or quits on me when trying to solve for world 3 (every time)

There may be more in BT but I can't get far in BT to find out...

I also ran GoodRomN64 and it said both were fine. My specs for my PC are as followed...

PIV 2.8GHz CPU
1024 Gigs of DDR RAM
GeForce 4 Ti4800 128MB AGP 8x
Yamaha AC-XG WDM Audio

I upgraded BOTH Video and Sound no more then 2hrs ago, and I get the same probs.

I may be screwed out of 2 great games, but I could also be missing something...

Oh I also read about a plug-in...Jarbo or something, but I couldn't find the link to dload it from...

Many thanks...

First thing you should do is uncheck uncheck Self-rendered textures (video plugin, ROM Settings tab) for doing puzzles. Slowdown on Kazooie and Tooie are normal when picking up / placing puzzle pieces etc. Make sure your using up-to-date plugins also.

Thank you. but what other plug-ins are there besides 1.5 sp?

EDIT: I unchecked "Hide Advance settings" and the list in the ROM tab is greyed out (I can't check nor uncheck).

Things you gotta do for great games...lol

Try with GLN64 0.41,the frame buffer support in this plug-in is xcelent (not perfect at all)

You must have Banjoo running before you can uncheck Self-rendered textures.

Well, the puzzle game moves fine now, but the picture is all messed up and it still kicks me.

The other errors that I posted still happen too...

Gandalf, I did use GoodN64 (I said it in my topic post)...

Still no luck.

All the other emus I've tried (and I tried alot) PJ is the only one to even run it.

Man...

glN64() all the way. It's nearly fullspeed on the moving puzzle bit you mentioned unlike all other plugins, and a jiggy appearing on screen causes no slowdown at all. Also, the pause screen looks very nice in Hi-Res.

My misunderstanding, and I apologize Gandalf.

Well, I hate to sound like a n00b here, but here I go...

Now I dloaded the plug-in (the one Gandalf mentioned), and was wondering on where I put it.

When I click on the plug-in, a dos window pops up and gives me a list. Then it says to hit enter, and when I do, it closes it.

If I knew how to post pics on here I'd show you.

Thank you all (still) for taking your time into helping me. I appreciate it.

*Sigh*

I put the plugin into the folder, and the same probs are occuring...

As for the puzzle game, well, here's a pic (or the link to it anyways)...

I don't get kicked from it now, and it runs smoothly...

I really appreciate your help (I can never say it once).

If you have any other ways...That's be great too...

I hate to say this, but would there be another EMU that could work (1964 crashes on me on all games, just to state)?

Looks like you haven't enabled the Hardware Framebuffer in the shot- enable it in the Graphics settings, then load the rom. Hopefully that should work.

Thank you all...

Everything works great but one thing...

That's Mumbo going back into his hut (still kicks me). I can save and quit and then reload the game as Banjo, and it fine...but that takes too long and I'm sure it will annoy me.

But other than that, perfect. I thank you all. If you find a way to fix the Mumbo ordeal, great, if not, *Shrugs* I'll just have to take the long way...Hopefully it's just in Glitter Gultch Mine...Never kicked me in the first level of the game (forget name).

Well, Thanks again...If I get more probs, I know where to come.
