What do you think about a port to Sony's PSP handled?

I'm a huge fan of this "project" which becomed an awesome emulator and I'll be more than happy to play N64 on the go with new Sony PSP.

Please delete your other post, double posting is´nt nice :bouncy:

I don´t think the PSP has enough power to emulate a N64 :p

And i don´t think that anyone will try to emulate an N64 on the PSP :p

Emulating an advanced console (like N64...) is a hard process (even the current Emulators are far from perfect...), so i don´t think anyone will start on such an project (because its imposssible).

The DS already has emulated super mario 64.... and the PSP is a beast compared to the DS. You just need a team of super coders.

The DS did not emulate Super Mario 64, the game was recoded for the DS with additions. The PSP is likely not powerful enough. At best the PS2 can only emulate a Snes a bit poorly with similar specs and capabilities to the PSP.

in fact Clements is right, if you compare screenshots from the original mario 64 and the DS version you will see significant graphic differences. I seriously dobt that a psp port on pj64 can be done.

The only consoles N64 emulation currently works on are the xbox (there was a 1964 and PJ64 port a while back), and the GameCube, developed in house by nintendo for the zelda bonus discs.

Yes that's my shoulder
couldn't there be some way to make the graphics and sound less complicated for the psp? some kind of special converter someone could make?

No. Making graphics and sound "less complicated" would probably be more difficult than optimization and have a less rewarding result. Besides, that's not even the main problem. Emulating a processor takes a lot of CPU cycles, and the N64 has two processors, the core and the RSP. You can't dumb down the core.
