Paper Mario Sprite Problems

I know you probably received alot of complaints about Paper Mario, but I'm having MAJOR problems with mine.

You see, everytime I head to Star Summit (Where the stars talk to you and all) I see no text. And, the character sprites go all pitch black everytime I go into a dark-looking scene. I am currently using the Graphic plug-in: Rice Daedilus 5.4.2

I would really appreciate some help in a Plug-in recommendation. Oh yeah, the screen sometimes flickers, but I don't mind that, the thing that's irritating about it is that the flicker goes solid, which makes me hoplessly blind.

Um.. Alright, how about a plug-in that'll give the best results for this game!? I don't really care if the menus are a little glitched, as long as the gameplay graphics are great.

You could at least tell me that you don't know, so I don't have to wait around for results, so I can find out the results myself.

Try Glide64 0.8. That should be good for the game. I would also upgrade your version of Rice's plugin, as it is pretty far behind.

I do not see Glide64 0.8 in the Plugin list, perhaps you could give me a link to it?

EDIT: Nevermind, I found it. But it's giving me this error that it cannot be used. Any advice to solve this problem?

Tell me what the error is. Did you read the readme and follow the instructions? Did you put glide3x.dll in the PJ64 directory?

What's your video card called? not all video cards support what the glide plugin uses to run.

I did, it says it fails to load plugin. now that I think about it, I had this error with one of Rice's plugins as well, but for some strange reason, it got fixed. So, how do I fix this "Failed to load plugin" error?
