So I was at a nearby Blockbuster to rent a DVD last night. Three of the four DVDs I was considering were only available in Pan & Scan, the so-called "fullscreen" version.>_<

"But the image is bigger!"

Yeah, sure thing moron.

Remember, Pan & Scam is the work of the devil. Don't rent from Blockbuster.(!)

Yeah. Even if the film is recomposed for the television, I prefer widescreen. Even if the film was originally shot in Super 35, I still prefer widescreen.

Widescreen all the way.^_^

I don't get why they didn't include something like a pan and scan definition in each dvd. Basicaly it would be a file that describes where the dvd player would pan, jump, and zoom on the screen. Most newwer DVD players include the necessary hardware to do this as well. Shouldn't be too hard to pull off. One DVD suits everybodies needs this way.
