Optimal Settings to run Goldeneye

What's the best plugins and settings for those plugins in order to run Goldeneye perfectly? I have relatively good system requirments in order to run it but I'm still getting graphic glitches and choppiness and slow downs.

I have a AMD Athlon 1.5 ghz processor
256mb Radeon 9250
512mb memory.

I would like to know this too. I have quite the same specs as Valo does.

Odd, as my specs are nearly the same (is your card worse, however? might be.. not sure about ATI cards, the last one I owned was a rage something-or-other :p) and before the weirdness happened (see my thread in general n64 emulation) I was able to pull 60 VI/s easily with Jabo's D3D8 @ 800x600, highest AF, 4xAA. Pretty impressive looking at those settings, too, only thing missing is the sky (Jabo's D3D6 does the sky..).

I was using the default settings, although "Legacy pixel pipeline" helped increase the vi/s a little bit (perhaps enough in your case?) but I have it turned off now because I was happy with it. Same settings works (worked, in my case) for Perfect Dark, also.

When I had a AthlonXP 1800+, the Speed of Goldeneye hovered around the 54-60 V/Is mark with PJ64, so it was playable but not absolutely smooth. Overclocking helped a bit. If it bothers you just use 1964, it hit 60 fps no problem with these "slow" processors. Jabo's plugin is probably the fastest with the game, but Rice's Video is more accurate, but is slower. Once you have over about an AthlonXP in the 1.8-2.0GHz range, emulating it becomes trivial in any emulator since there are no FB effects to slow it down like in some of Rare's other games.

At your service, dood!
I had an Athlon XP 2400+ (@ 2ghz) and goldeneye ran like crap even on 1964, Unless I used CF3 in the rom settings that is. I think there may have been something seriously wrong with that processor, though.

There must have been something wrong, 2.0GHz is probably more than enough, since I was getting 60V/Is (with 1964) on a processor 460MHz slower with default CF, no frameskip etc. with Jabo's D3D6.

You could see my specs in my public profile but they are

AMD Athlon XP 1600+ (1400Mhz) ... I know it sucks.
ATi Radeon 9600XT ... Should be good enough?
512MB RAM ... Same as above

I get constant 40-50 FPS at goldeneye with pj64, advanced block linking off, sync game to audio, 1024*768 fullscreen.

Edit: Oh, I see they are also visible in your sig :p sorry.

I wouldn't enable sync game to audio as it makes everything choppy and lowers your interupt by at least 10.

I personally would not say a 1600+ sucks myself - it's fine for most games, but since this is Goldeneye which has high system requirements, it is just a little insufficient for PJ64, and I'd expect the frame rates you gave. The Radeon is not the problem, it is well above the recommended GeForce 3. 512MB RAM is fine. Again, 1964 should work better, it's a faster emulator that has lower requirements. The only other option is to get a faster CPU.
