Opening Error

'Sup all.

See, my friend gets Project64 from me, he tries to open a rom, and it comes up with a message reading:

Failed to open selected file

Can anyone tell me how he can get around this?

If it helps, all of his plugins are in order, he has DirectX9, is running XP, and in 16 bit colour mode.

1.) He's trying to open a file that isn't a rom...
2.) He's trying to open a rom for a different system...
3.) He's trying to open a rom that's compressed in a format other than zip...
