Online problems...

Well, I figured out how to get online with the 1964, but I have a real high ping. Now, I'm a n00b when it comes to online games, but a high (1492) ping is bad, right? is there a way i can make it go down so that i can play Goemon's Great Adventure online? it took like 20 minutes just to get to the start menu. Any help is much appreciated! And if it works, it'll be my round!arty:

LOL you must have dialup...without broadband your ping will always suck but it also depends on what server you try to connect to...it is best to connect to one closest to you.

Immediately everyone blames the dial-up modem. Has no one seen the technology behind satellite DSL? Peak activity on a cable connection? Even just general traffic congestion as another script kiddie packets some Cisco routers?
