I was going through some junk that some people were throwing out at my dads work, and I found a Toshiba Laptop (T1950CT). When I plug it into power and turn it on, a little light with the words, DC IN flashes, and nothing apprears on the screen.

Any help in how I get get it to work,

thanks:D

dson't DC have something to do with power ? like the batteries are dead or sth.

DC IN is often used for < damn what's the word .... U know , a little thingy, ... blah .... [ my english sux;] ] that makes 220 V (or whatever) to 9 V / 12 V for consoles and stuff >

In certain workplaces all of the desktop PCs are modified so that they won't work if removed from that particular work place. AFAIK, they are modified via the power supply - not sure if this would be the case for laptops though.

Have you tried it using batteries? If that works, then it could just be the mains adaptor you are using not being sufficient.

Yeh, I just opened it up and it is missing its battery! I'm going to go and have a look for it now:)
