Ogre Battle Backgrounds and Save States

Ok heres the thing. Ive been using 1964 for about a month to play Ogre Battle 64. The emulation is great except for two things: on the battle maps, the characters are all white and most backgrounds for battles aren't seen. I've just downloads Rice ver. 5.5 and 6 and found that using these in Project 64 and found that, at least for the opening scene where you get your stats, shows the background, though not well. So, i have a dual question. First, is there a way to properly emulate Ogre Battle on 1964 with any plugins including both Rices? Second, if there isnt a way to do the first thing, how do you transfer your native save state from 1964 to project 64, because i don't want to have to start the game over?

I tried it and had the same problem. I downloaded the latest RDB for Project64, they don't support this either. I tried lots of different video plugins, but to no avail. I think this is a VSYNC problem.

For #2
Choose "File" menu ,"Save State" then "To Project 64 Save State File..."

also what does RDB and VSYNC mean i'm relatively new at all this emulation stuff.
RDB = PJ64's Rom Database. It contains the specific emulation settings for each game, among some other things.

VSync = Vertical Synchronization. having it enabled reduces the "tearing" of the screen when the screen scrolls up/down or left/right. Basically, the emulators tries to match the frame rate of the game to the refresh rate of your screen.

of course, for best results, it is advised that you change your monitor's refresh rate to 60Hz whenever you play NTSC games on an emulator with VSync enabled; however, it's not a requirement. If you have your monitor set up at 75Hz refresh rate (like any person probably has), then the game might struggle when it tries to match that 15 fps overhead.
