Ogre Battle 64

Is there any emulator that properly emulates the game Ogre Battle 64?

Current situation:

I've tried 4 of the most recommended emulators for the N64 and manipulated settings for each one. So far, the only emulator that I've seen emulate this game the most properly is an older version of 1964 (0.8.5).

Here's the problems with that version of 1964:

- Very slight sound problems (could be problem with computer)
- Intro, some event, and many battle scenes lack full backgrounds (most of it is black)
- Soldiers at very beginning scene with 'N' logo are white.

Here's the problems with latest version of 1964:

- Extremely slow
- Intro shows almost nothing except menu and copyright date
- Soldiers are white
- Most of the background are almost nonexistent
- Most sprites are white
- First event scene lacks background, and sprites lack textures. I only see black contours of sprites and some background objects.
- Sound is terrible.

I use a Voodoo3 2000 with a Pentium 3. DirectX does not work, only OpenGL.

If anyone can suggest the best emulator to use for this, and if anyone can suggest certain video/sound options for that emulator, please mention them to me. If it's useless (because of my Voodoo3), tell me that. I would like to know what to do to get this game working, even if it means getting other games not to work.

Jabo's probably won't work too well, either, although you'll have some luck. Glide64 is definately the best for a Voodoo card.

Yeah, I'm hoping a new Glide64 version is out soon, too. :D

Tempo, you are far luckier than you may think with your Voodoo 3, as the next version of Glide64 works perfectly with Ogre Battle 64 (with backgrounds!) and everything, which makes me a bit jealous that I can only use a wrapper to get it to work! :p
