Ocarina Of Time: Disappearing Textures

When I play through Zelda: OoT, I've been having an issue where things like trails, the seed planting pads and the like seem to fade through the ground texture or generally not appear. Any idea how to fix that?:(

Ahh... it has something to do with your computer's graphics card. Sometimes, a computer can have trouble with blending or overlapping textures. It isn't a major problem though, it won't crash the game or anything like that.

Hacker... NOT cracker, ok?
Yep. Is video card. Update your drivers. Worked for me

Its nothing to do with drivers  so why are you saying that?

@Grimhound- If its the same trails you see in hyrule field that seem to 'creep' away from the edge of the screen, then I have had this problem on 3 seperate gfx cards. They were a Radeon 9600se, geforce FX5900SP and a geforce 6200TC.

I'd say try another video plugin or emu, see if it goes away

Dude, I'm sorry. It just seemed obvious. I had the same problem with some emulators and some other games. Update video card and it was fixed

Trying a different plugin might be the easiest thing to try first before doing anything else. Could you tell us what kind of graphics card you have, if you don't know how then just click start/run and type dxdiag and go into the display and tell us what it says under "name".

I'm having the same problem with disappearing ground textures. I've tried at least 8 different plugins and the only one that even allows me to see the textures at all is Jabo's Direct3D8 1.6.

Under DirectX Diagnostic Tool, the 'Name' is listed as:

Mobile Intel(R) 945GM Express Chipset Family

I'm using a laptop, so changing the graphics card isn't an option (or at least I don't think it is). I'm new to all this, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your integrated Intel chip is the problem, and since Jabo's Direc3D6 plugin is basically the only plugin that will work adequately with that chip, use it.

Yeah, didn't do a lick of good. Guess I won't be able to make the most out of all the awesome hires texture packs out there (the only real reason I was trying to emulate the game in the first place).

Thanks to both of you for the help and quick reply regardless.
