are they any better than the 40.41 drivers?

I tried the 40.41 and while it was obvious that my card's potential was hardly being tapped by previous drivers, I also got an input delay with my Adaptoid (and presumably would with other controllers) that made gameplay impossible. Had to go back to the 30.82 and I'm praying nvidia catches this glitch ... does anyone know if its fixed in the 40.71?

haven't a clue .. i didn't leave the driver on my comp long enough .. not for me sadly, i will wait for the official WHQL certification ones .. can't be too long now

If your looking for a CD-Burner, go with plextor, ther is no other choice to make. Trust me on this, Plextor drives are just plain THE BEST.

in a word 'FANTASTIC' took me a while to find out what software was best (made lots of coasters) but now really good for backing up my system or rom files ..dvd+r =excellent compatability stay away from pioneer for the time being if you are thinking of going down that road .. sony and ricoh are making good dvd+r+rw drives ,but you may be wise to hang on for 4x writing speed which should be on sale shortly (not as slow as it seems,comparable to a fast cd rewriter)

yes, the low-gamma bug that were in the previous drivers has been fixed. and alot of compatibility problems with older geforce cards are fixed.

Problem for me with the detonator 40 drivers is I can't get hardware opengl modes.

Also, note that the .71 drivers are a tad slower than .42, as was necessary for some bug fixes.
