Hi everyone. First i'd like to say, good work with the dolphin emulator. It's an awesome piece of work that i'm sure took a lot of effort to achieve.

Noob Question time:
Alright, now i understand completely why a faster FPS cannot be achieved due to current PC processing limitations. This is apparent in all emulators. Low FPS means slow gameplay, slow gameplay makes quick paced games boring.

I witnessed the same thing as i was playing Super Nintendo roms on the PSP. The emulator was pretty good, but apparently the PSP processer couldnt achieve the speed needed. However, there was this option called Skip Frames, which enables skipping a number of frames. Now i know that this is going to have a bad effect on the games quality, but the games on the PSP played faster. quicker gameplay made me forget about quality. i wonder if the same thing is availiable in dolphin.

Of course due to ignorance, all what i am saying could be useless bullshit so forgive me for sharing the thought.

for the dolphin case, even if we skip frames, the entire CPU processing cannot be skipped, so there would be no changes at all. Skipping frame is usefull when the PC isn't powerfull enough to make the calculations and render the game.

Dolphin is limited by the CPU calculations mainly... even if we could skip frames, no games would be playable, it's better to play slow-mo and be sure of what you do than doing smth than the next screen you're dead

From thousands of threads question about the fps of the emu that I have seen, why don't we make another version of Dolphin only for improving speed not for quality? Can we?
