New Yahoo Messenger 5.5 is evil

The new messenger 5.5 crashes for me in XP. well, i can't complain about that too much since i've been guilty of distributing selective crashware in the past. But haha check this out: Go to your yahoo messenger installed folder and open filter1.txt.

i guess it's nice to have a filter to keep kids from seeing bad words, but what good does it do to have a viewable file like that unencrypted for everyone to read? even i wouldn't be that stupid. it is easy to modify sure, but why start everyone off with some choice words to chew on ?

All instant messaging programs are evil .. my wife is from japan and for the first 1 year we were dating she could only come to the USA about once every three months. So, we chatted almost every day by Yahoo IM.

If there had been no Yahoo IM, I'd still be single and livin the high life. Instead, I'm screwed.
