the whole chankast utils speedpig thing bothers me too.. the actual emu will get faster over time.. hell, its already fast considering only 2 releases have been done.. it seems kinda disrepectful to the authors IMO. this video recording thing sounds like a good idea though cant wait until its really implemented

Foggy, have you not seen all the dangerous things speedpig can do to ur cpu? It basically overclocks the FSB in real time as i heard, and this isnt good. There are whole discussions on the chanka utilities thread about the dangers of speedpig. Its basically the only reason i dont like the utilities.

It doesn't seem too necessary to bring it (and your opinion of it) up in every post about third party utilities for Chankast though... This has very little connection with SpeedPig, so it's obvious that it wouldn't contain SpeedPig. Thus, referring to SpeedPig in this thread is really pointless and is more like flaming.

Anyway, what codec does it encode the recording in?

Speedpig doesn't OC your CPU in realtime, just messes with the refresh rate chip contained in the chipset, raising it. It is dangerous, since you're potentially "overclocking" it.

Well if you use the new chankast utilities, you would know that now there is a warning message when you load speed pig now. People would have to be on crack if they didn't see it. If I remember correctly, I don't know why your always blabbering about speed pig still. It you don't like Speed Pig, that's your problem and stop bringing it up for every thread I see. You guys got your warning message, I see it every time I load it. For some people, Speed Pig is actually quite compliant with their computer since I know my computer pretty damn well.
