New Plug-ins Don't Register

How do I get newer plug-ins to register? They never show up. In Project 64 all you have to do is extract the plug-in into the "plugin" folder. Is this not the case with 1964? If not, then how do you install them?

Edit: They work on a different computer, but not on my other one.

What newer plugins? Do you have at least one plugin in the list?
Jabo's, Rice's,...?

Do you have "msvcr??.dll" files in your 1964 folder?
