Hello.

Well, looks like nintendo didn't had enought with releasind the GBA sp (after many people had bought their normal GBA) and forced us to buy it. Look like the company is plannig to create new portable videogame system, wich name has not yet been determinated, that consits in basicly in a two-screen console. Looks like it will enable the player to see the game in one screen, and the zone's map in the other (for example). You could think of it as the olds "game & watch"'s. Nintendo hasn't revealed anything related to it's technical specs, or dimension. Looks like will have to wait to see.

If now more things about this new system, please say something. Thanks

What's better in having a two screen console?! Isn't just easiest do a bigger screen? Besises that... if the console has two screen, then it appears that it will need twice the processing speed to execute the game. From my point of view, it's a bad idea.

First of all, some of the massive, pathetic multitude of People-Who-Hate-Nintendo-Just-Because-They-Aren't-Sony can't seem to get it out of their fucking heads that nobody forced anyone to buy fucking GBA-SP's! My original GBA is still working perfectly, THANK YOU, and Nintendo still manufactures and distributes, and stores DO STILL SELL, the original fucking GBA.

Second,

If you do a bigger screen... GUESS WHAT! YOU STILL NEED MORE PROCESSING POWER! So what's the big loss?

As a matter of fact, depending on availability, yields, and pixel density, two screens can actually be cheaper AND need less power than a single larger one! IMAGINE THAT!

N already announced that the DS will have two processors anyway, so what's the big deal?

Hmm...well, I dunno. At first I was very skeptic, but as I heard very promising words from developers that had more information on this thing, I am starting to be optimistic. Anyways, it's not that long until E3, and I really think we should wait to at least then before dooming this thing :bunny:

Hey tagrineth! Please don't be mad at me! In the first place I don't hate Nintendo, on the contrary. It's a videogame company I apreciate very much. Secondy, I've never had a Sony PSX or PS2 in my life! Anyway looks like you missunderstood me... I'm NOT saying that nintendo actually forced anyone to buy it's new GBA sp, I'm just saying that many people prefered to get this one even having the old GBA, because you can't see a DAMN thing with it inside anyplace. Do you get it now? And respect to to the two screens console... just think in playing a game like metroid prime with two television instead of one, having one of them the game screen and the other your current status. There's no big deal about it, right?

Only if you increase the resolution, and its not as much more as a second screen entirely would need, even if you doubled/quadroupled it.

IMO this just seems like a "while the other guys have only one screen, we have TWO just because its cooler!" thing.

Thats basically what Im going for until Nintendo shows something that actually requires two screens, or benefits a while lot from using them.

you know, commenting on the DS is dumb until you've actually seen it.

It's either going to be a clever bastard piece of kit, or just a gimmick, we shall see though.

Wow, someone's a big bitch.

Anyways, I think if the games are made right, it could work.

All I can say is that we'll see.

You're right. We'll have to wait to see the console itself and its games before make a discussion out of it. But you have to admit that Nintendo could say somemore things about this new system.

My, that's awfully odd. I still have a GBA and can see perfecly (no, I don't have any backlight like the fireburner)! Yep, you heard me. Go figure.
