Hello, I need some help with this,

Ya see, I want to run Zelda Ocarina of Time and possibly Majoras mask as well.. Now before I start, I'll tell you that I have already over looked many topics and many help files

The main problem is the sound and the speed. The video is screwed up but I can understand that and get past that, I don't care if the kokiri's clothes are white or if navi is abunch of garbage pixles. But the speed along side the horrible noises makes it uncomfortable and practically unplayable! I did everything the help file told me too, it made it a little bit better, but stillno dice.. Jabo's default plugins work almost fine, but I looked for help at other topics and it refered me to some other plugins. I tried gln64, that made every thing 99.99% worse! The sky was red and the colors and textures were all screwed! it also dropped the FPS to 0.82-5 instead of atleast 40 FPS. with Jabo's when the n64 logo shows up at the beginning, the frame rate is ranked 49-68, but when link shows it instantly drops to 15-37 FPS.

With Azimer's audio plugin, it made the music a little bit better, but also added 4 other problems: skipping, doom lagging, repeating, and horrible choppiness of doomedness. With Jabo's there was just lagging... and lot's of it.

here's some of my specs, First let mew tell you that I don't know about alot of thing about my computer, don't get me wrong! I'm one of the top ranked tech people! But my computer in particular, is a mystery. first of all, this comp didn't origonally belong to me, it used to be my dads, and he's not the best at computer's. so this comp was given to me already made! Which means I don't know what cards and stuff I have! if you can give me directions on how

to find this info, I could give you more specs... here's what I have that I know off the top of my head:

I run with Windows 2000
DirectX version = 9.0b
RAM amount = 522,744 KB of RAM

There's so much hardware installed that relates to Sound and Graphics, I don't know which one of the thousands of graphic related hardware is the card! same with the sound card.

Any help would be very Appriciated

I am afraid that I need more specifications than that to help you. Here's what you do:

Click Start, then select run. Type "dxdiag" and click ok.

When it has loaded please check what it says under processor. Then go to the display tab and notice what it says under name. If you post back with those two I might be able to give you a better answer ;)

Intel Corporation 810 Graphics Controler HUB

guh.. I probably don't have enough MHz... right?

Yup, that's right I think. I am not 100% certain on how much is really needed to play it flawlessly, but I am sure someone else will give a better post on it if you check back later.

Also you can try out 1964 and Nemu64. I think they're a little bit faster which just might be enough for your needs. You'll find them in the download section on this forum.

OMG! Ha ha ha! And I thought that my 466MHZ Celeron was bad! Lmao. Sorry for laughing at you. Too bad that you people in the lower '48 can't do what I did to get a good pc. In Alaska we get a yearly Dividend check of over a thousand dollars, just for being a citizen. I used this money to buy a bargain pc that works VERY well. And off the record, Alaskans don't live in igloos! It's over 80 degrees right now, and we have really dense cities. Sorry that this topic has no purpose.
