hello,

i had never seen a programm where i can allocate a picture and a individually text to the rom, so like little informations. only choose in options the path to your emulator(s) and the path to your game-directory. then refresh the list. now you can choose a game in the list and allocate a pic or write a little text or some extra- information, then save it. the information will be saved into the data-directory.

With this programm you can start a game individually with one click with project64, project64k or 1964.

Here the zip for program and sourcecode:
http://www.typusmensch.de/projectsn64.htm

Remember: It should work only under Win2000/WinXP

If you don't have installed the BDE, also the program needs the BDE from Borland:
Download the english setup: bde511en.exe
Download the german setup: bde511de.exe

The BDE file is an update only. So I went to the website and tried downloading the full version 5.2. THEN it says I need Delphi or C++ Builder. I couldnt figure out what to download, how to download it and then it wanted me to sign up for all this stuff. Do we really need to download all this junk to use your program? I just wanted to try it but I don't want to install all this stuff just to do that. Does it or will it support per rom plugin support?

WIKI:
Borland Database Engine (BDE) is 32-bit Windows-based core database engine and connectivity software for Windows.

I edited the links.. it's now no updates but single setups. i can also include the bde setup in a setup of this program but i think many people have installed the bde on their computer, maybe it is superfluous.

Thanks for the full version of BDE.

I like your program alot, it allows me to utilize 3 emus to play my games better and more convient all with a single app.

A couple comments:
1. The scrolling feature is not refreshing until I let go of slider (ie game list doesn't scroll AS the slider is being moved down).
2. Also, again, do you have any plans to have roms use their own plugins versus having just one set of plugins for each emu?
3. Is it possible to adjust text size or something so more roms can be seen at a time like Pj64 or 1964?
4. And lastly, it would be nice to have the window size and shape and rom info columns be remembered on exit.

Great App!! I hope you keep building on it!!!

Thanks and more thanks. I would never have thought you would implement the rom plugin thing for a while. WoW!!!
I can't wait to try it tonite.
My res. is 1280X1024 on a 19in. Is there a way I could adjust the text size myself, like adjust the registry or something?

Just saw your screenshot of beta 9, that looks incredible. Now we can start our games from the thumbnails. Brilliant!! This is perfect. I hope you're releasing it soon.

When we do an UPDATE, what files should we be replacing or not replacing.

Thanks for the game thumbs at your site also. They have a zip extension and this caused some problems. I deleted the .zip ext. off of all mine to get it to work. Just mentioning it cause others might run into a similar problem.

Thanks again. Can't wait for Beta 9!!!!:bouncy:

All files, i know it is silly, but i try to make the programming, that when i introduce beta 10 that then only must replace the execute (N64Gl.exe) and the N64GL.rdb.

The programm saves the pictures as *.FileextensionOfRom.pi.jpg for Pictures and *.FileextensionOfRom.sc.jpg for Screenshots in the data-directory.. it is important that the fileextension persist becaus the programm work with is.. @my Webpage it is changed.. :)

Great version! I will definetly be using your program from now on. It's almost perfect for me except for 2 tiny things.

1. No support for PJ 1.7. I use this emu mainly so that kinda sucks. Alot of people have this and if we wait till it fully comes out, it'll be 2008. I get a "open rom failed" message when I try with 1.7, but 1.6 works fine. I can close error box then go to open rom and it'll work fine. Somethings just a little off there. If you don't have 1.7, I'm sure Zilmer would give you a nice discount.

2. It's tiny but if there's a way I could open app and it'll go straight to thumbnails view since after config, that's all I use.

Thanks again!!

THIS NEEDS TO BE STICKIED ALSO!

He can't make it compatible with Project64 1.7 unless he decides to donate. Besides, it make perfect sense that a frontend like this doesn't work with a piece of software that isn't even publicly released yet.

hm. can somebody send me only the regkey for pj1.7?
regedit: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\N64 Emulation\Project64 Version 1.7
that would be enough. :)

It's not under that location. I tried searching for it and found nothing. I don't think it's possible it's sharing with 1.6. Maybe it uses a ini of some kind. Any ideas? We can always ask Smiff or somebody. Let me know, I'll do whatever you need to get this going.

Just found out it DOES use an ini now. Here it is. Hopefully you can get it working.

Just because it is not publically released doesn't mean anything. It's technically an open beta and will remain that way for a LOOOOONG time. I would recommend everyone not see that stupid movie at the theatre and spend that 20 bucks on PJ64 1.7-it's worth it.

Let me know if there's any thing else you need (like the RDB or seomthing).

I have one request and one question:
R: Can you make the bar scroll while I am daging it (right now it jumps to position when I finish scrolling)?
Q: Do I have to overwrite N64GL Configuration Settings when updating version? Cos when I do that, I have to set everything from the start...

Just checking in Typus. Any word on getting PJ 1.7 compatable? Not asking for a release, just saw a pic for Beta10 on your site 10 days ago and just waiting to hear any news. Saw you got the "Start with thumbnail view" implimented. Thanks for that.

This does need to get stickied somewhere. Anyone who's used this program would agree I think.
