i wanted to use the emulator w/ my n64 controller, so i bought myself one of these:
eBay: USB Converter (for PS/PS2 & N64 Joypads) (item 300061396451 end time Dec-21-06 10:12:48 PST)
but although the controller's recognized as a joystick and all that, there are a few problems.
i've only tried the mario 64 and mario kart roms so far:
in mario 64, i can't run, i can only walk. so the analog isn't really analog at all.
in mario kart
for some reason, i can't use my analog stick to steer left or right, i can only use the d-pad even after fooling around with the contoller input settings.
so
should i just ditch this and go out and buy a decent computer controller?
or is there a way i can still use the converter and my n64 controller? a plugin perhaps..?
thx for ur time
btw, what is this "deadzone" and "range" thing in the controller configuration options?
as u can tell, i'm pretty new and hopeless so... any feedback would help
