My understanding of Paper Mario problems

As far I know, there's only two SERIOUSLY ANNOYING issues.

1. Flickering
2. Black Sprites in dark areas

For problem 1, The newest Rice's plugin fixes it if you set "Frame Update at:" to "At the 1st CI Change".

2. The second, I find Jabo's plugin just works fine with.

The only thing is, I don't figure out a way to make Rice's do siloutte's that aren't dark. Other than that, there isn't any major problems with it in Paper Mario.

Thank you, jackalwackal! This solved my flickering problem!

However, I've run into another problem: When I go into Merlon's house, and when I enter a battle, the FPS drops down to about 6.50~. If I make the mistake of asking Merlon to tell my fortune, the FPS drops down to 0.00. When I went to him to get him to move the Koopa Bros. out of my way, I accidently asked for my fortune. I honestly think it took 20-30 mins to finish, just because of the crystal ball thing that drops from the ceiling.

If I use Jabo's Direct3D8 1.6 plug-in, the FPS stays normal, but there are menu problems, and, of course, the flickering.

Do you have any ideas/tips on how to solve this? I've tried pressing F4 to remove the Limit FPS option, but it doesn't make any difference.

Something is telling me the problem is with my PC and/or video card... :(
