Monitor randomly stops receiving signal from computer while playing

As the thread title says, while using PJ64, my monitor will stop receiving a signal from my computer.

I have the latest version of PJ64 and all the default settings intact. I also have DirectX9.0c and the latest drivers for my ATI Radeon 9800pro.

Any ideas?

check your power settings on the screen-saver maybe

Maybe this will help. With my own ati radeon 9700 pro I had the same problem with direct3d games when I had Fastwrite enabled. After disabling fastwrite in the bios the signal loss was gone. Try the same as Fastwrite isn't advised for any other card then an ati radeon 9600 pro. It looks that it is a hardware problem and has nothing to do with software or drivers.

Is your video card overclocked? That could be something. Does it happen when you're in fullscreen? Your Monitor might not support the resolution you play at. Blah blah blah. Bye!
