First off

How do you use the items?

Also I'd appreciate some cheats, and help with multiplayer(using 1964 emulator)

I have the real game sitting with my N64, forgotten in my closet, and have played it.

You should be able to use an item by pressing the 'z' button.... (Not the Z button on your keyboard, but whatever you have 'z' configured to)
