Mario 64 running at 10fps

:angry: i have a p3 700 120mb ram and a 32 mb radeon i use jabo plugins and mario sixty four runs as slow as perfect dark i have the minimum req and a first gen game runs like shiz anyways i can get the fps up?

Tell me one thing, have the FPS from Mario64 ever been higher? Do you remember modifying any settings? Have you tried the uninstall folder and double clicked on remove all PJ64 settings? If that doesn't help any, do ANY games run at normal speed? (60 or 50 fps or somewhere around that)

Make sure the RSP setting is set to Recompiler, and not Interpreter.

i have this and perfect dark and they both run at the same framerate (oddly enough) and i've deleted the settings once (not recently though) and neither of those run at anything over 20 ever

Hrm... this just isn't adding up in my head... Mario64 should easily be pulling 60 fps... What are your current drivers for the ATI Radeon? Also, try downloading DirectX 8.1 it might help some... might not, but, it's always good to have the latest version of Direct X.

hmm i have never updated my drivers i just got my card last week i'll try it i have the exact same card you do i think radeonuser

what os do you have? the default drivers for win 2k and XP suck for a lot of boards.

i have win 98 i don't have trouble with anything like this on anything but pj64

CFB is probably enabled, you MUST disable CFB.

There is little point in having over 512megs ram in Win98... there are tweaks to get it to work properly, but at the end of the day, you would be better dualbooting, or completely migrating to Win2k or XP in order to gain a performance increase with such an amount of memory.

Yeah, that makes sense. Just be sure to apply the neccessary tweaks before installing it, otherwise it could well be (and this isn't 100% definate) Bluescreen O' Death City.

Certainly, just use an OpenGL plugin such as Icepir8's one.
