Majora's Mask problem

Hey, I'm new, so forgive me for my stupidity, but I'm having some problems with this rom. I've downloaded several versions, but they all do the same thing.

Some of the graphics aren't appearing. For instance, the Great Fairy is missing the back of her head. In East Clock Town, the ground mirrors the sky. When I look through the astronomer's telescope, I can't see a thing. It's completely black. Also, not sure if this is in the game or not, but in certain areas the screen sort of flashes, and the ground will either light up for a second, as it does in West Clock Town, or it will turn a different color (the secret passage to the observatory, for instance. The water will turn green and then back to blue).

I've got a fairly good PC, so as far as I can tell it isn't that. Anyone got any ideas?

I'm not so sure about that... what's your graphics card? You shouldn't have those problems if you have a geforce2 or better card. Regardless, make sure your graphics card drivers are updated. If you don't have a good graphics card, the Glide64 video plugin might make things better.

I've got a GeForce 2, and believe it or not, I got the Glide64 video plugin today after reading about it on here. And my card drivers should be updated, but I suppose I could lok into that. I just got this PC a couple of months ago, so I didn't think I'd need to update so soon.

Try re-installing or updating video card drivers. I have a GF4 MX 440 which essentially is a really really fast GF2, so it should look the same for both of us. What are your complete system details? Have you tried every (read: Jabo's, Rice's Daedalus, Glide64/Evoodoo) video plugin?

OS: Windows XP Home Edition
CPU: 2.5 Intel Celeron
Video: NVIDIA GeForce2 MX/MX 400
Memory: 256 MB

Need any others?

I haven't tried every video plugin, but I do have the Glide64/eVoodoo thing. I guess I'll try and update my drivers again. Thanks for the help guys, and you have any more it would be much appreciated.

EDIT: Another thing I forgot to mention is that everytime I open this game up, near the bottom it says something like "Error: blah blah failed to open without tmem" or something like that. I haven't played any other roms, so I'm not sure if it's just with this or what.

Sanctified, Jabo's D3D 1.5.1 plugin is more than just good for this game and your gfx card. Try this plugin.

256MB is on the low side for a computer that is running Windows XP and loading large roms. If you can, try to buy one more 256MB stick. A 256MB PC3200 DDR stick costs as little as ~£30.
