Whenever I try to load up Majora's Mask in NEMU the program freezes and crashes. Any idea why?
I'm new to the forum but I did find video drivers as well as sound drivers and other drivers for nemu64, I found the nemu64 v0.8 is not well equiped with the latest nemu64.ini and it looks like the old 0.0.1 or something like that, this ini makes my castlevania 2 run really slow, I found a setting in the ini called "SlowTLB=1" under castlevania2 in the ini, delete that setting for faster performance, my 550 mhz pc after applying an old ini that I found from the nemu64 that I had on a cd because it had been a while had great performance after applying that ini for castlevania2, it was dated in 2001, it is version 2.2.2 compared to the 2001 that comes with the nemu64 v0.8, any ideas where to get a new nemu64.ini? I tried the links on nemu64 home page and alot of the links dont work, is the ini link up? can someone post a download for the ini directly here in the forums or here or something please?
I found downloading the latest drivers for the emulator works to, and othe emulator drivers, just put them in the same plugins folder thats in the nemu64 folder, look directly for plugins, extract files to there, after that just load nemu64 and go to options - video and set all you need along with folder paths would be a good thing to set to, after that click ok and click plugins I think and then click video, audio and input settings etc, for the latest drivers check the forums.
check out the links for nemu64 here
http://www.nemu.com/links.php
I hope this is ok to post, I just thought it would be helpful.
I also have an attachment for a nemu64.ini file if anyone wants it, version 2.2.2, I don't know where to get another since some links don't work, click the attachment to get it from here, note that this 2.2.2 doesn't have all games under it and it has cheat configured stuff or something, check out the ini to find out whats in it by opening the file just by double clicking it, compare it to your other ini's and also, backup your ini and then use this one to test and see if its better, I think some games are not under it but if you add them it can be, check out the difference from nemu64 v0.8 ini and this ini for castlevania2, mariokart64 and a few other games probly mario 64 as well is under this, not sure, if not it can be added just be studying the ini files, the differences of whats in the old one put into the new one.
I hope that you know how to use .zip files, if you don't, download winzip from
www.winzip.com or winzip.com if the first doesn't work on your browser, after that get the free 9.0 version and open winzip after installing it, if you don't know winzip, I recommend you try to figure it out right away, it's a compression tool for making big files smaller in size, makes for better downloads and more, files are inside the zipped files and need extracted, to do this you need a zip program winzip, after you get this zip with the ini inside, double click the zip file if winzip is installed and go into winzip "classic" mode for the easiest way to use it and click on the file you want to extract, click extract to, after that extract to the place you want it at and done, hope this is ok to post here, I'm new and to lazy to look where to post, I figured some need this help, it's alot and I'm sorry, I type alot, if anyone is having trouble with nemu64 or is new to using it and wants to play there games on it, I recommend what I have said here, this may get moved but if so I hope its helpful. oh yeah and for new users of nemu64 just open the program and then go to load rom or something like that, after that it should work but "make sure you hae the latest video, audio and input drivers for this to work right along with the latest version of nemu64 from there home page" you can get more drivers from other n64 emu sites but you must search for them. Please as I ask do not send feedback about what I have said, but I hope I get a reply about where to get a nemu64.ini new one or at least the latest? I hope this has been helpful.
