M$ Sidewinder issues with p64

Hi there guys.

I've got the latest project64 (1.4) and my good ol Serial m$ sidewinder gamepads.

So what happens is the games runs sweet in WINDOWed mode BUT when I go to full screen it slows down like hell ! Is this a bug ? Nothing wrong with my box as it's a high end puter. I tried the different plugins by different authors....but no hope. But when I'm using keyboard everything is fine.

Btw my specs are
Amd Xp 1800+
WinMe/Xp (Problem happens in both Os's)
1gb ddr
Herc GeForce 3 ti 500

So please help if you've fixed it.
Thanks in advance.

Ok, if using your keyboard fixes the problem then your problem is something to do with the controllor.

What input plugin do you use? If you go to N-rages site you can get a newer version, select his plugin in PJ64 and click about, it should show the address to his site.

Also, what connection does your controllor use, USB or just the normal game port. I'm not sure if this would make a diffrence, but it may and someone else may need to know this to pin point your problem, that is, if updating the input plug-in dosen't help.

If all else fails we could trade computers as I don't have that problem ;)

Cheers EdgeBlade and others.

Just upgraded to the new plugin and all is good the gamepad.

Now the other problem is the video driver....what do you guys use ? As stated before I've got a nVidia card...and using Direct3d Hardware T&L. Some game running @ crazy 400 fps...while in limited fps mode it stays @ 60fps but sometimes goes down and the 60fps is very slow for some games. So how did you guys fix it ?

Thanks again :pj64:

It could be the game itself. Not all games run perfectly, make sure to get the latested RDB file from the RDB thread and see if that helps. What games are you having problems with?
