Little help with daemon tools

Ok so I found a working copy of Capcom vs Snk2 off the net, and I heard about Daemon Tools. I downloaded the program and I launched it and I did all of the steps in order to "mount" the image and I chose my cdi file so I thought it would work, but whenever I try to play the game it goes into the bios like normal, but whenever i pick the controller icon (forgot what its called) it says "please insert game disc", is there something that im not doing right here?

Thanks to anyone who replies in advance.

Regards

Is the image a selfboot? Also check your drives and try to access the disc image directly to check that it is a valid image. Also check you have the correct drive selected in chankast.

You see the problem is im a bit new to the Dreamcast emulator world and I don't know weather or not to tell if my cdi image is selfbootable or not, or how to get one selfbootable? All I really want to do is play this without doing a lot of work, if I need to do something in order to get it to work would someone please let me know? Thanks.

I know I might be going off topic with the above statement, but that's really all I want to do is play this game.

Heres a couple of ideas

If the image is selfbootable, when you load it into deamon tools, it should appear as a music cd. if its not self bootable it should just appear as a load of files.
When you launch chankast click on options/configure drive and select the letter of the virtual cd rom that daemon is set to (for me its G).
Also something else you should check, click on my computer and you should have an extra cd drive. open the disc in the drive to check the image isnt corrupted.
Hope this helps you.

Yes it does appear as a music cd, but I have one problem, it won't play whenever I click the play icon in the bios, it gives me an error about it. I tried using the above tool but I had no luck, what did you do to get your game working herecles?

I know that I'm mounting the drive right and in chankast I select it as my L drive because I have a lot of other drives in my machine, but when I do that it does it to no avail.

One more question if it does appear as a music cd does that mean that the game is playable? If so how do I do this? Thanks.

Do you get any i/o errors? The image might be a bit dodgy. Do you have any other images you can test on chankast?
Also i've hered of a bug in chankast that corrupts the bios and flash, try putting new bios files into the chankast folder. And just double check that you are using the latest versions of chankast and daemon tools

Try to convert the cdi file

Convert the cdi file using cdi2nrg to nero image, I fixed the same problem doing that with the same cdi image(SNKvsCapcom2.dci("selfboot????")).

Then, try to boot it. (Well I use Nero ImageDrive, i think the same happen using daemon)
