What's new

Is there a dentist in the house?

Chipped a tooth, big time. Thankfully there's a rather large filling still present; keeps the sensitive bits from exposer, for now.

If I've offended anyone recently and you're seeking revenge, send popcorn, the more unpopped kernels the better.

I have two implants.

They drilled two titanium screws into my jaw, to make the bone grow, and then six months later took them out, put two stainless steel pegs in and attached my fake teeth to them.

now that's painful

What's painful is when one time the dentist pulled out my wisdom teeth when my mouth was not completly numb from the shots he put in my mouth. The result, I could feel the plyer-like thingy crush in to one of those teeth and feeling how he's trying to yank it out! OUCH!
Talking about dentists just makes me shiver.

Don't want to brag:p But my little cousin smashed my front teeth out while playing miniture golf a couple of years ago. Now that did hurt.. :/

Looks nice now but I'm def getting a hollywood smile further along the road. :D

Gigahurtz: damm I know how much of pain extractions are but my one wasn't anywhere near that bad.

but just to add, my front two teeth (which I the implants replaced) were knocked out when I got hit by a car, and I could feel it when he screwed the screws into my jaw bone.

can anyone else beat Gigahurtz and I in the painstakes? ;)

ouch, how'd you get hit?

I've had 2 wisdom teeth removed at once not long ago, still got 2 left (my gums are swelling cause the other half decided it wanted to come out yesterday). I have a pretty good tolerance to pain so the only torture i really had was not being able to eat whatever I want :p

Back from the morgue.

The severe pain has robbed you of your mastery of diction.

That is all.

I'm glad you saw fit to use slander as your reentry.

you = prodigal

p.s. PM me your cell number; I seem to have misplaced it.

Something similar happened to me, but not with a wisdom tooth. I was 11 I think, and the Korean woman pulling my baby teeth (had to get rid of em for my braces, which have been long gone for years ;)) didn't numb my mouth right.. Pulled it straight out, un numbed.. God.. unexplainable agony. :(

Perhaps you had more pain than I did. At least, they got my tooth partly numb but it was still very painful. I just wonder why they just can't wait for it to become completely numb!!

I was getting a root canal filled and they were using a probe to see if they had got all the root material out of the tooth.......no anesthesia or anisthetic since there should have been no root in the tooth any way.......

too bad I had 5 roots in that bugger and the dentist jabbed the probe into the 5th root (to that point unknown and certainly a very lively raw nerve ending). I about snapped the headrest off the chair when I jerked my head back. The pain was not the most long lived I ever had.. but it was rather intense at that moment
