IS my computer not fast enought?

I don't know what's the problem but mupen64 runs Zelda64 at 15-19 FPS and the sound is pretty choppy. When I select no sound plugin - it runs normally (withou sound of course). Is my comp powerfull enought? It's specs:

AMD Duron 1200 Mhz
Asus 9520 Magic (GeForce 5200 128 MB 64 Bit)
384 Mb DDR
Ecs K7VTA3B KT333
SB 24 Live! (retail)
Windows 2000 sp4/Ubuntu Linux 6.06(tried mupen only on windows)

have you tried pj64 1.6

I have had pj64 ver 1.6 run fine on similar specs except it was on windows xp if that would even make a difference so try a different emu and see

PJ64 works fine - but I wanted to use mupen because it is multiplatform emu.
Still I don't know is this an emulator problem or my PC specs problem.

Mupen64's requirements are slightly higher than PJ64's for full speed, but even so, NTSC Zelda normally runs at 20FPS in-game on the real system and in all emulators.

Make sure you have the Dynamic Recompiler option enabled as the CPU core.
