IRC Help...

i'm sorry if this doesn't go here but i dunno where else it would go...

umm.... could someone plz help me and teach me how to use an mirc becuase it is way to hard to learn how to use... and one more quick question what is ftp? like http?

Googling for "mirc tutorial" yielded several hundred thousand results, but the first ten should probably get you off on the right foot. FTP, like HTTP, is an application layer protocol that works on top of TCP. Its capabilities and usages are slightly different though. Wikipedia's page on FTP has lots of detailed information for curious minds. Search engines and free online encyclopedias are wonderful things.

I say skip all that... go and d/l Opera (the best internet browser IMO) and use its built in IRC.

Opera also allows you to d/l torrents through it, skip forwards and backwards through pages with a click of the mouse, and add 'widgets' which is a totally cool addition... I've tried a bunch of them... I have a guitar scale thing, a Pandora internet radio thing both of which work great.
