I have checked this game using Daemon Tools 3.29, and found it works fine. I find it hard to believe that you had time to install the correct version in the time it took for you to post again.
/May be the version of Windows you are using btw... so go to the CD input plugin, and change it to the other one, see if that helps.

Go to the FAQ again and read it:
Q: I can't make Chankast work under Windows 2K, why?
A: Make sure that you have the latest ASPI drivers installed and selected the ASPI CD-ROM interface from the plugin configuration.
Go read under that section...
