Hello everybody, I'm a new member in this space and I just wanted a little piece of advice regarding Chankast...
Well, the thing is I downloaded this program along with Marvel vs Capcom 2 3 days ago...I managed to configure it and enjoy this game for almos 2 days....however everytime that I try tu run the game, a window pops up saying that I must set the time and date... When I do so, I click on Select, I try to enter the game again but the same window pops up again
I restarted my computer but that didnt work...I've been searching the menu and tehere is nothing reloted to this problem...
Can anybody tell me waht's wrong with my configuration?...cause, as I said, the program was wrking fine a few days ago...
Thanks...

if your bios becomes corrupt i.e. reseting to dash just copy your back-up of the bios / flash bin to your chankast directory. it becomes corrupt i think because of region settings and changing vga ntsc options and maybe playing non region games games with a specifc bios i.e. a japanese game on an american bios
to work around this i use the europe bios its most compatible it seems for mee anyway. you know you've got it when the dreamcast swirly turns blue

I'm really pleased not that I managed to get a downloadable version of dc_fash.bin on the internet
I pasted it on the Chankast windiw and that was all
However, I've been told that there is nbot a chance for me to get a better sound performance with MArvel vs Capcom 2.,...
My computer is a Pentium D, RAm: 1 GB, and it's very up-to-date, I don't think that problem has anything to do with old or missing sound drivers??
What is it then?
Thanks in advanced!

The problems has to do with Chankast sucking at emulating Dreamcast's sound processor properly.

Ok Agozer

I guess i'll have to settle with this poor sound performance...
But that's not su much of a problem cause the game is great after all...I got the Capcom hack, and when I activate it, it seems that this game runs much faster than marvel vs capcom or Xmen vs Street fighter...Is there a way to slow it down or I just have to get used to that speed?
Thabks in advanced....I got one more question...I'd like to poste questions regarding MAME but I don't know where to go...what's teh proper forum to do so?
Thanks in advanced...Bye...

How much faster? Enable VSync in your video card's drivers and set your monitor refresh rate to 60Hz. Or alternatively, try ChankEx (search the board). I think it has some sort of a speed limiter.

Post MAME-related questions in General Emulation.
