Sometimes my computer and my dad's doesn't load properly the USB drives, I just restart the computer and the problem is gone..
I would format the notebook.. get a couple of DVDs, make a backup and reinstall Windows xD

My friend has an USB drive, but suddenly it stopped working on her notebook. The USB drive works flawlessly in any other PC, including mine. Any other USB drives or USB devices work fine on her notebook. The USB drive just simply doesn't appear using Windows Explorer. So far, I've tried this:

But it didn't work. I have searches a lot. Do you guys knows the trick?

You could try http://www.ccleaner.com/

or windows update might find a driver for it (maybe windows decided un-install it by itself lol)

I re-installed the USB storage driver manually without results. And of course I tried rebooting the notebook. Crap Cleaner is excellent I know, but didn't work for this one. I'm sure formating and installing Windows again will do the work, but it's a tedious work, I'm trying to avoid you know ;)
