well its simple, something to do with the input plugin, not the video or audio. if you set your input to purely keyboard, no joystick or gamepads, the hand will reappear. its quite odd. however, it happens with both jabo's and n-rage input plugins, so it must be a core issue with pj 64. i'm not a programmer, so i can't offer any fixes, besides configuring your input to keyboard. A possible workaround is to use your gamepads keyboard program, (not sure what their called, you know the one that allows you to press a keyboard button with your gamepad)
