would it be possible to make a gamecube OS for the pc? Instead of focusing all our efforts on gamecube emulation for the pc, which wont be perfect for another 10 years, we could focus the efforts on a booting gamecube os.

think about it, it could use all the pc's resources which would make emulation much faster

A Gamecube OS would require the same kind of work an emulator does.

The overhead that the OS incurs is very small (unless you're talking about Vista ). Time would be much better spent optimizing the emulator. That way the Dolphin team can focus on actually emulating the system, rather than managing everything that the OS has to.

Come on, there's more than just the OS. You need to emulate the hardware, the OS and the API.
