Meh...
I'm fairly good at configuring the sound perfectly, and it sounds sooo sweet! the speakers i got were the Creative Inspire T2900. I know it's only 2.1, but I'm gonna use my old speakers as a rear hook up since i got an extra plugin in my sb live card. I love the bass, no more BUMPPPPPP rattle crap now it's crisp clear BUMP. Yeah i know this is kinda weak for those of you who have 5.1 sound systems :p but oh well i like it. ;). My old speakers have a built in sub in them so i will be getting a bit of bass from the rear. The overall sound sounds awesome as well. Feels like im almost in a concert.

Heh. I just got a new sound system too. A Creative Inspire 4400 4.1 speaker system. It tears the shit out of my old kenwood 4.1 setup. Gotta love creative labs. :)

i wouldnt normally associate "tube-amp" and "bass". Quality comes to mind - oodles of it, but not "bass"

if you want good bass, get a cheap 2x50w "creek" amp an use it to power a 12" sub;)

Tube amps are actually bad. They rarely produce over 8watts, so using a speaker rated at 250 watts would get you very little sound.

I use a 12" sub with a built in 120 watt amp.
