I get an emulation exception error when i try to play Mario Kart 64

When ever i try to play Mario Kart 64 on my 1964 i get this error:
A4000060 Exception in emulation thread.

However i have a Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 1300MHz 1.28 GHz. 256 MB of RAM and therefore do not believe i have the A6-KMD problem in the faq. Please help me, i really want to play Mario Kart 64.

i have some ideas about it...
1- try a different emulator
2- does it work and crash or doesn't even run? if this error can be skipped, you surely can feel happy
3- tried a different core/video plugin?

by now i can only guess this... i have 1964 but i use the PJ64.
hope this can help

No it crashes right after it initializes Direct X. The game never loads at all. Which core/video plugin do you suggest i use for Mario Kart 64.

Sounds like you using the default setup that come's with the emulator.

I have problems with early rice plugins so update to newer version's and see how you go.
